External changes refer to modifications in business listing data on Google Maps suggested by users or Google algorithms. Even verified listings can be edited by outsiders, including competitors, which may negatively impact their visibility and credibility. Google’s algorithms often make changes without consulting the listing owner, leading to incorrect or outdated information that can weaken the listing's position in search results.

1. Changes List

The Changes list feature in Center AI monitors all listings for externally imposed modifications. A notification will appear in the changes list if the system detects interference with data—such as operating hours, business name, category, phone number, or website. With Center AI, you can bulk accept or reject changes with a single click, maintaining full control over your information and avoiding potential errors.

2. Listings Protection

In the “Listings Protection” panel, you can precisely select fields for which detected changes should be rejected in bulk using the button on the yellow bar, visible whenever the system detects a modification in a chosen field. This feature allows you to respond quickly to changes, ensuring the accuracy of your listing data and effectively protecting it from unwanted external interference.

3. Change History

The Change History feature in Center AI tracks all modifications proposed for listings, whether from external sources or the Google Business Profile. A clear record displays the details of each change—what was modified and whether the modification was accepted or rejected.
